Depending on the school calendar and the availability of the camp's vehicles, the lodge organizes game drives for 20-30 pupils from Latika, Msorongo, Mwashoti, and Maktau Primary Schools. Lion's Bluff Lodge educates pupils on the significance of wildlife conservation through the initiative and provides them with lunch at the lodge.

The facility started a children’s library at Iltilal and Matulani Primary schools where they provided 100 books each for the children’s reading. They further conducted training for the teachers and parents at the community level on
the need for early reading and learning for the kids.

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge carries out tree planting within the lodge, and local schools such as Esiteti Primary School, Ekong Narok Primary School and within the surrounding community.

Waste is separated at source and the bins are clearly labelled at the facility. Organic waste is given off to local pig farmers on a weekly basis.

The camp uses biodegradable bathroom amenities from Cinabar Green in the guest tents. Biodegradable laundry detergents are also used at the camp, supplied by Odex Chemicals. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the chemicals used within the facility are available.

The facility hires more than 60% of its permanent employees from the local area and also allocates its casual work to the locals. The employees are provided with health care, uniform, accommodation facilities and basic amenities.
Satao Elerai Camp

85% of the employees in the facility are drawn from the local community. Satao Elerai which is a community owned conservancy is under the management of the facility meaning the successes brought about by it like monetary value is utilized to develop the community.

Guests participate in low impact activities such as bird watching within the facility. The camp conducts an environmental day twice a month. The day entails litter collection and tree planting activities where each staff member is assigned a tree to take care off. 
Tawi Lodge

The facility plays a major role in the conservation of elephants through the Amboseli Trust for Elephants which carries out ecological monitoring of the ecosystem, for the benefit of the largest land mammals.
